PCBN Inserts

Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride inserts perform efficiently when machining hardened steels > 48 Rockwell “C”. They also excel in the machining of cast irons, powdered metals and exotic alloys.

Choosing the correct grade of CBN is critical to the success of the insert based on the application at hand. Specific application information is required for MDP to be able to provide the best insert grade for the application. Our CBN inserts are available in two standard tip sizes, mini (2.5-3mm) and standard (4-7mm).
